You probably recognize this picture from one of the most watched youtube videos of 2012. This band did a cover of Gotye's "Somebody that I Used to Know" where all 5 musicians played on the same guitar. Very creative. Here if you never saw it. Below is a newer video, of a song they wrote themself. What's crazy is that they cut up the music and then filmed it out of sequence. There's a making of video here. The final product fast forwards and rewinds the video to match the normal song. Crazy! They are impressing me with their creativity, which is what will get your video passed around on youtube and make it famous. It's not about the technical aspects or the cool special effects - the first time is mind-blowing and famous, but after that "it's been done". But creativity costs nothing, creativity can adapt to any level of technology, that's what you want to train and develop in yourself. Speaking of great creative ideas, check out these band photos! The level of photoshop needed for this is not crazy, you could do this.
