The Capture Photography Festival is a month long celebration of photography and lens-based art every April in Vancouver, Canada." They've just put some of the artist's work up for sale, it's a neat chance to see what kind of photos are done by professional artists. It's a real variety. This is such a big issue it's the headline of Media Literacy Week, they've titled it "Break the Fake" Here is a link to their tips on how to tell if what you're reading is real or fake. For example, check Snopes.com where their entire purpose is to track down whether something people say is actually true or a common myth. Here's a game to test yourself and learn more: Fakeout Watershed Artworks has received a grant to hire two 15-30 year olds. Each position is 8 weeks, July and August, 35 hours/week, pays $13.85/hr.

The contrast between these territories reflects two different worlds for me, and it inspired me to portray this in my work." Some of these are disturbing. There's something more jarring than usual when you see these different photographs combined together. The contrast between the safe and dangerous parts of our world seem even bigger.
